JVM is a great place to learn about the languages that run on the JVM, (Java, Scala, Kotlin, Go, Clojure, Groovy, JRuby, Python, Frege, Ceylon, Haskel, Xtend). We also promote related progressive technologies and ideas! All skill levels are welcome. We seek to create a community of software developers reflective of the general population's diversity. To that end, we are dedicated to creating a welcoming and friendly learning environment. Everyone has something to contribute. We welcome new speakers! If you've never spoken before, do your first talk with us. Talk about anything. Tell us your experiences (good and bad) trying to learn Scala or Java or Kotlin. Talk about the legacy system at your job. Educate us on the wonders of Rust(or whatever your favorite other language is).
